A lot of people think that Military Academies are not competitive or that they only care about physical fitness. Most of the Military Academies in California are a bit different than the usual , not only do they request for excellent transcripts but also you need to get a high score in the SAT’S. Military Academies are difficult to get into unless you are at the top of your class and meet all the evaluation requested, also your medical examination must be on point and you should be able to conduct physical activities.

Having an all round intelligence is a criteria for getting into a Military Academy in California, Many people with the physical built do not get in just because they have low or have fallen to average in their class. Most students strife to get the best grades just so they can make the cut of getting into the best Military Academies. California Military Academies are one of the best schools in the country with not only graduating good leaders but they seem to top the School league table all the time. They have Exceptional teachers and officers who provide the students with quality education.

The good thing about Military school is that not only does it give Field training it also encourages the students to show certain talents they have, going to Military academy does not mean you cannot do the things you like. Students are allowed to have their own activities during the leisure time. Most of the Military Academies in California have a website that will help you and give more information about how to apply and what you need to do to get a spot in the school.

One other thing you must take note is that leadership qualities is very important if you want to get into a Military Academy, so getting into a student government earlier might be a good idea as it will help give more points to your application. Getting into a Military Academy is all about accomplishments and a sign of good future. You have to prepare yourself so you can get into a Military Academy and sometimes you might even require a nomination or recommendation from your state senator. At this point a good Educational stand will be a good idea.

Military schools in California are getting more competitive every year, the earlier the better for you, start making your plans now .

When it comes to joining the Military , one thing that is for sure is that most people want the best academy to train them elves, not that there are many us academy in Connecticut or all over the country but there are also top Military schools that will train men as good as military Academy. When most people hear military Academy all they think of is the biggest Military schools. Competition is very tough in the Us Military Academies compared to other Military schools but then what they do have in common is that they do graduate well trained men to serve the country. Then the question is does it really matter what US military school or Academy you go to ? Yes it does and no sometimes it doesn’t. You have to know that a Military school should be more than a name or popularity, what really matters is the quality of training giving to the students.

One major problem that top schools face is that they become relaxed because they seem to be in popular demand , but then forgetting that when the rate of rejection into the military school is high people begin to find another alternative that is equally as good and before you know it that becomes the next top school. One advice for anyone thinking of Military school in Connecticut is to do your research well before even applying to a school, it is very important that you visit the school and watch how the activities are been conducted , otherwise you might just be disappointed when you get there. Another thing is the Internet seems to make everything fancy but most schools actually lie about the details on the internet just to attract people .

Truthfully ninety nine percent of the Military schools in Connecticut and beyond are good and perfect for anyone thinking of joining the Military. There is so much hard work to do when training to be in the Military and there is so much fun too, you just have to know how to do the two together without breaking down. The reason why majority don’t make it through Military training is because they believed they couldn’t handle the stress but then it is an individual thing. Think about what you get from joining the Military , would you enjoy joining the Military? Then you can actually make a choice of applying to a military school .

The Us air force Military academy is one of the most competitive colleges in America, and they have remained on the top ten ranking list of America’s best colleges. They provide almost the best Campus Military life and every students who wants to get into the Air force makes it their first choice. They offer students the opportunity to get strong academic excellence as well as determination and discipline to excel in the military .

Each year about 1200 out of the 6000 that applied are admitted into the Academy. The admission process is strict and very competitive , sometimes even the best do not get admitted into the academy. They expect you to strictly meet the requirements which includes you not been married and been a legal US resident. The Academy is Age restricted unlike other academy, you should be from 17-23 years of age, before you can be considered for admission into this prestigious school. The good thing about the academy is that they also accept female applicants with no segregation at all. As hard as it may seem to get a spot, international students are also considered but that is if only they are being sponsored by the government in their countries and they have to return back to serve their country after graduating.

Your grades are not enough to get you into the academy but also you should prove extraordinary in extracurricular activities also since there is barely enough spot for everyone who applies , they tend to admit students who excel in all aspects ranging from intellectual to the physical activities. After getting into the academy there is also a complete makeover of your lifestyle which is kind of tough for many to cope with as a fresh man but eventually in years to come they get used to it, while some drop out before they graduate.

If you are looking to get into the US Air Force Academy, I suggest you talk to Cadets who graduated from there to find out more about their experiences and see if you are ready for it and it also helps to visit camps and summer programs and seminars organized by the Air Force Academy as it gives you heads on what to expect when you get admitted into the Academy.

The Air force Military academy yearly graduates young men and women who strife so hard to achieve self-discipline, control, precision and academic excellence. In the academy you never graduate as a Underachiever and the job options after graduation is totally worth the stress in school. All cadets who graduate from the academy have something to show for their years of hard work. Find a spot for yourself at the US Air force Military Academy.

What is defensive driving?
It is a training, a practice, and most of all, a mindset for motor vehicle drivers. The bottom line is that it seeks to guarantee at all possible costs safety in traveling.

Defensive driving may be achieved through proper adherence to a variety of general rules of the road as well as practicing driving techniques. Most states in America actually require drivers, particularly those who have committed offenses, to take defensive driving courses.

A driver who understands defensive driving is one who possesses the knowledge, skills and the right attitude while driving. He knows the traffic rules, is highly skilled when it comes to driving but not lax or overconfident, and has a right attitude towards driving and others on the road.

The breakfast or the “first mess” is often delicious and nutritious. Morning classes, usually around six periods, follow that is 45 minutes each. But before that, they are called for the morning military formation, inspection colors ceremony and announcements. Lunch is the second mess around noontime. Two classes in the afternoon are more of tutorials. These classes are mandatory especially for those cadets whose been falling back, or those who got below 70% in any subject. Every cadet is expected to participate in sports and other activities until dinner is served around 6:00 P.M. They then study from 7:00 P.M. until approximately or exactly 9:30 P.M. By 10:00 P.M., all lights are out.

Like any other emotions, anger is normal and even healthy. Everybody is angry once in awhile. Yet, when it comes to be too frequent and out of control, anger becomes destructive. Most of the time, anger is mistaken as a behavior. It is because of the resulting unpredictable and inappropriate actions that the kids show. Anger and behavior is related, but anger could never be a behavior or the other way around. However, anger can ruin a teenager’s life. It will destroy relationships, create school problem and personal struggle.

To some extent, angry teenagers could be admitted to military schools, but not all of them could qualify. Why? Because there are kids whose anger is already out of control. The environment of military schools could do such teenagers harm by aggravating their conditions.

Whenever your teenagers approach you and tell you that they are being bullied,maybe you ought to listen to them. Maybe it is not the first time that they are being bullied. Maybe they are finally telling you because they could not deal with the situation anymore.

Remember that most teen kids never talk to their parents about these kinds of issues. They often prefer to settle it on their own. Most of the time, they just let everything be because they are afraid. Yet, even if parents will deal with the situation, when school starts the bullying starts again too.

Teen kids, who are being bullied, could be partly right. However, parents should also confront the matter and then do something about it as soon as possible. One example is transferring the kids to another school, if not, sending them to a more safe and self- encouraging school like a military school.

A military school can provide a strong foundation to develop teen personality. See, the stronger the personality of the kids is, the lesser the possibility that they would be bullied.

There are several reasons why kids learn to bully other kids. For adults, it may just seem like a child’s play but bullying has been an alarming act. Yet, why do these teenagers become bullies:

* They often see others do it. Worse yet, they learn the behavior from adults. For instance, domestic violence could be a source of bullying.
* Bullies do what they do because they usually think that their actions are acceptable, because everybody else is doing it. Like, everyone in the “popular” circle are expected to treat everybody else like trash.
* Bullying itself creates a certain strength and power over other kids.
* Sometimes, bullying becomes a defense mechanism so that other bullies would keep away from them.

Not all teenagers who enroll in a military school have behavioral issues. There are some kids who go to such a school because they want a career in the military. Take note that studying in a military academy is never a prerequisite in joining the Army. However, it is an advantage.

Most military schools usually provide their students with information that could help them in their future military careers. Even if the job is not military in nature, military school graduates already have an advantage, because they are known to have undergone stringent education and training. Their acquired values, like respect and responsibility, will even take them further to success.

There are two main things that you should notice – emotional changes and behavioral changes. If you observe something different in your teenager far from ordinary, you should seek professional help immediately. A therapist or a counselor can help you process the changes in your kid. Here are some of the signs:

Emotional changes:

* always sad
* easily and often cries
* trauma and phobia
* unusual behavior like being paranoid, obnoxious and always irritable
* persistent anger outburst

Behavioral changes:

* poor academic performance
* suicidal tendencies
* frequent isolation
* avoids friends

However, the military school do not accept teenagers who have serious behavioral or emotional issues.
